Wear comfortable clothing in which you can move freely, but that will also keep you modestly covered as you move your body through yoga poses.
Please avoid wearing perfume. Strong, lingering scents such as perfume can be an overbearing distraction and discomfort to other students during the practice of yoga, pranayama and meditation.
Avoid eating meals before yoga class.
Arrive 10 minutes prior to class so that you can settle in without disrupting class proceedings. Classes start on time. If you arrive quite early and find the door to the practice area closed, it simply means that the teacher is preparing for class. The door will open 10 minutes before class start time.
Please switch off your mobile phone and smart watches, or leave them in your car. Allow yourself & others the peace to quietly turn inwards.
All classes are done barefoot, and the practice area is a shoe free zone so please remove your shoes before entering.
The Lounge is a fully equipped studio however you are welcome to use your own well-loved mat if you prefer.
Please honor the quiet space of the Lounge while preparing for and settling into class by moving quietly and using a hushed voice as others may have moved into meditation or deep relaxation before class commences.
Upon arrival to class be sure to sign in at the registration desk, and advise your teacher before class if you have any postural concerns, injuries or medical conditions to be considered during your practice.
Yoga classes at the Lounge include pranayama (breathing practices) & meditation, and conclude with relaxation.
Respect the limitations of your body by working around its weaknesses and restrictions, never forcing a stretch or posture.
You may like to bring a water bottle. An open heart, open mind, & smiles are also always welcome!
